We all ride bikes for different reasons. I’m starting to think that I ride bikes solely because I have an adrenaline addiction. I’ve never heard of this in cycling, at least not to this extreme, but I ride at a good pace every single time I’m on the bike. Slowing down at any time actually frustrates me. I ride solo 98% of the time because every ride is some form of time trial, including longer rides. I don’t actually race anymore. Ironically, when I WAS racing, I had no problem having easy days. I ride every day, and my weekly TSS is at LEAST 700 for the entire year, with it sometimes getting to 1000. Is this seriously a “thing”? Seems a bit crazy, but when I picture cycling, it’s always either ripping down some descent or TT’ing on my road bike.
